Adda Anderson

Adda Jane Anderson, 80, of Ridgway, died on Monday, January 8, 2024, at Penn Highlands Dubois after a lengthy illness.

She was born on May 22, 1943, a daughter of the late Bruce and Grace Tuttle Johnston.

Jane was a strong hearted woman who was always there to help. She spent many years working as the secretary for the IU9. Jane took great pride in her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She loved to mow her grass, play cards with her girlfriends, and take beach trips.

She is survived by a daughter, Elaine Chapell and her husband Ron of Ridgway, 3 grandchildren, Elise, Eliana, and Colleen, and 2 great grandchildren, Lilyana and Jax. She is also survived by a sister, Ruth “Sue” Matson of Brockway, a brother, Mike Johnston and his wife Mary of York, PA, and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Elise Anderson, and a son Eric Anderson.

A Memorial Service for Adda Jane Anderson will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 215 Cook Ave., Ridgway, PA 15853, with Pastor Erik Hart officiating.

Burial will be at Oakmont Cemetery.
