Alice R. Cronk

February 25, 1923 — June 16, 2023

Alice R. Cronk, 100, passed away peacefully on June 16 surrounded by family at Fairview
Southdale Hospital, Edina Minnesota. Alice was most recently a resident of The Waters of Eden
Prairie, MN and formerly, a long- time resident of both Edina, MN and Ridgway, PA.

Alice is survived by two children; Theodore “Ted” Cronk (Carol) of Kiawah Island, SC and
Cynthia Cronk of Johns Island, SC. Two grandchildren, Caroline (Jayme) Meyers of Edina, MN
and Caitlin Cronk of New York City, NY and one great-grandson, Luka Meyers.

Alice was born February 25, 1923 in Ridgway, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Homer and
Ethel L. (Kerrick) Kohlhepp. Alice graduated from the Ridgway Centennial High School, class of
1941. On August 27, 1945, Alice married D. Wayne Cronk who preceded her in death on April
28, 1993. Alice and Wayne were members of Trinity Methodist Church in Ridgway. Following
the death of her husband, Alice relocated to Edina, MN to be closer to family.

Alice was the last living member of her immediate family and was preceded in death by her
brother, Dean Kohlhepp and sisters, June Taylor and Ethel Mae Quiggle.

Upon relocating to Minnesota, Alice spent time with her two granddaughters whom she
cherished. She readily made many new friends and enjoyed an active social life and for several
years worked part time at the Methodist Hospital gift shop. She was an active member and
volunteer at Good Samaritan Methodist Church in Edina. Alice was an avid reader and
especially enjoy reading history and biographies. Knitting was a life-long love of Alice’s and she
created beautiful sweaters for family and friends. In 2011 Alice moved to The Waters of Eden
Prairie, MN, an assisted living residence, where she became a much loved and active participant
in The Water’s Community.

Alice was known for her positive outlook on life and will be remembered by many for her faith,
friendship and loving smile.

A private family burial will take place at Thayer Memorial Cemetery in Ridgway, PA.
