Arthur J. Cianca, 73, of Ridgway, died on Sunday, June 30, 2024, at his residence after a lengthy illness.
He was born on October 5, 1950, in Ridgway, the son of the late Arthur Sr. and Susan Caggeso Cianca.
On August 12, 1988, he married Mary Theresa Judice, who survives.
Art was a lifelong resident of Ridgway and a member of St. Leo Magnus Catholic Church. Art votuntered as the caretaker for St. Leo Cemetery for many years and worked as a machinist, retiring from Metalydyne after many years of service. A proud member of the Ridgway American Legion, Vietnam Veterans of America Kersey Chapter 720, and the Ridgway Fire Department. Art devoted himself to serving his community and country with honor and integrity. Art had a special spot in his heart for his granddaughter, Sofia, spending time gardening and could often be found riding her around on his scooter.
In addition to his wife of nearly 36 years, he is survived by a stepson, Michael Swanson and his wife April of Ridgway, a very special granddaughter, Sofia, and a sister, Mary Ann Cianca of Ridgway.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Arthur J. Cianca will be celebrated on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at 11:00 AM at St. Leo Magnus Church, 111 Depot Street, Ridgway, PA, 15853, with Fr. Justin Pino officiating.
Burial will follow at St. Leo Cemetery
Military honors will be accorded by the Ridgway, Johnsonburg, and Wilcox Burial Detail.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 5, 2024, at Krise Funeral Home, 130 Center Street, Ridgway, PA 15853 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
