Carlotta (Caroline) Addeo, 99, of Ridgway, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, surrounded by her loving family and her faithful pet Lucky who was by her side until the end.

She was born on June 29th 1923, in Ridgway, daughter of Michael and Pasqualina Minelli Ritucci.

On September 21, 1946 at St. Leo’s Catholic Church she married John “Bert” Addeo who preceded her in death on January 8th, 2002.

Carlotta lived in Ridgway all her life and was a graduate of St. Leos High School. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She worked at the Elliot Company as a young girl, at Elk County hospital, and at Brody’s dress shop. She was a member of the CD of A, Blue Army, the Sodality, and the Alter Guild at St. Leo’s Church. Throughout her years she loved crocheting afghans and doilies for everyone in her family. She enjoyed doing yardwork and feeding her wild animals and she always looked forward to spending time at the family camp and dancing the polka. Caroline absolutely loved her family and cherished each moment she shared with them.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Bernadine Myers (Ron) of Ridgway and her loving son Francis (Debbie) Addeo of Johnsonburg. Seven grandchildren John (Tara) Frank, Michelle (Dan) Howard, Jamie (Scott) Shaffer, Kelly Addeo, Russ (Sara) Myers, Angela Myers (Scott Mertz), and Brandon Myers. Sixteen great-grandchildren, Carlotta Swanson, Elizabeth, Ben, William, and Frank Howard, Chloe and Riley Frank, Dominic Addeo Shaffer, Nick, Lily and Olivia Myers, Mackenzie, Cadence, Desiree, Addison, and Baleigh Mertz.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded into death by her grandson Frank Clark, three brothers Patsy, Joseph, and Nicolas Ritucci, and her two sisters Lena O’Neill and Sanny Tettis.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Carlotta E. Addeo will be celebrated on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at 11:00AM at  St. Leo Magnus Catholic Church, 111 Depot Street with Fr. Justin Pino, Pastor, as celebrant.

Pallbearers will be Ralph Tettis, Paul Tettis, Michael Tettis, Rocco Tettis, Joe Addeo, and Frank Howard.

Burial will follow at St. Leos Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Krise Funeral Home, 130 Center Street, Ridgway, on Friday, November 25, 2022, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM.

Memorial contributions can be made to Frank Clark Scholarship Fund, C/O Bernadine Myers 402 Oak Street, Ridgway, PA 15853.
