Cynthia L Ford

Cynthia L. Ford, 69, of Ridgway, died on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at Penn Highlands Dubois after a brief illness.

She was born on January 3, 1954, in Kane, a daughter of the late David and Donna Allen Zimmerman.

On October 14, 1995, she married Robert W. Ford who survives.

Cynthia was a graduate of Johnsonburg High School and a member of First Baptist Church in Johnsonburg. She worked for Community Nurses, retiring this year after 25 years of service. Cynthia had a heart full of love and loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed taking time to watch holiday cooking shows, learning a new meal to cook for family and friends.

In addition to her husband of 28 years, she is survived by 2 sons: Willard Kennedy III of St. Marys and David Kennedy and his wife Christine of Ridgway, a daughter, Rachel Kennedy of Ridgway, and 7 grandchildren. She is also survived by 5 siblings: Rick (Sally) Zimmerman of Wilcox, Kathy Zimmerman of Wilcox, Donny (Cheryl) Zimmerman of Johnsonburg, Amy (Randy) Johnson of Ridgway, and John Zimmerman of Johnsonburg, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Denise Kennedy.

Funeral service for Cynthia L. Ford will be held privately by the family.

Memorial contributions may be made to Johnsonburg First Baptist Church.
