Donald E. Elias

Donald E. “Don” Elias, 65, of Ridgway, died on Sunday, February 19, 2023, at his residence after a brief illness.

He was born on December 12, 1957, in Ridgway, the son of the late George and Doris Wilson Elias.

On April 12, 1980, he married Mary Nell Keller, who survives.

Don was a lifelong resident of Ridgway. He loved to be outdoors, spending his free time hunting, ice fishing, and gardening. Don never missed the opportunity to spend a night at camp. Don will always be remembered as a wonderful husband, great dad, and the best papa.

In addition to his wife of nearly 43 years, he is survived by a son, Joe Elias and his wife Caroline of Ridgway, a daughter, Kellie Elias of Ridgway, and 6 grandchildren: Weston, Grace, Natalie, Wyatt, Josie, and Anthony. He is also survived by 4 brothers; Paul Elias (Lori) of Ridgway, Dave Elias (Bobbie) of Brandy Camp, John Elias of Ridgway, Tim Elias of Ridgway, 2 sisters; Jane Elias (Pounchie) of Ridgway and Shelly Dudley (Chris) of TN, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, George Elias, and a sister in law, Virginia Elias.

A Memorial Services will be held on Friday, February 24, 2023, at 6:00 PM, at Krise Funeral Home, 130 Center Street, Ridgway, PA, 15853.

Family and friends will be received at Krise Funeral Home from 4:00PM until the time of service.
