Jeffery A. "Buzzy" Penfield

Jeffery A. “Buzzy” Penfield, Sr ., 60, of 12865 Route 219, Ridgway, died on Friday, June 4, 2021, following a short illness, surrounded by his family.

He was born October 30, 1960, in Ridgway, a son of the late Thomas Penfield and Dolores Swanson Vollmer.

Jeffery is survived by 2 sons; Jeffery Penfield (Lori Jayne) of Brockway, and Daniel Penfield (Leah) of Johnsonburg, his longtime companion of more than 25 years; Betty Ferraro Walter of Ridgway, by Betty’s son; Thomas Walter (Dana) of Pittsburgh, and by several grandchildren. He is also survived by 5 siblings: his twin sister, Jean Main of Ridgway, Debbie Nelson and her husband Gary of Johnsonburg, Mary Stahli and her husband Norman of Ridgway, Stacy Griffith and her husband Ed of Ridgway, and Bill Wolff of St. Marys, as well as by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers; Thomas Penfield and Steven Wolff, and a brother-in-law, Randy Main.

Jeffery was a lifelong resident of Ridgway and was Lutheran by faith. He worked at Exotic Metals (AAM) and retired from Scottish Heights Golf Course. Jeffery was an avid outdoorsman and loved camping and fishing trips with his sons. He enjoyed traveling around the local area with Betty.  He always had a helping hand for others and would not stop working on something until it was fixed.

Funeral Services for Jeffery A. Penfield, Sr. will be held on Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 215 Cook Ave, Ridgway, Pa 15853 with Rev. Erik Hart, Pastor, officiating.

There will  be no public visitation.

Interment will follow at St. Leo's Cemetery.
