Judith E. Chamberlin

Judith E. "Judy" Chamberlin, 77, of Main Street, Kersey, passed away on Monday evening, December 12, 2022, at Penn Highlands DuBois following a brief illness. 

She was born on June 21, 1945 in St. Marys, PA, a daughter of the late Albert and Margaret Seelye Sarginger.

On June 26, 1965, at Queen of the World Church, she married William Chamberlin, who survives. Together they shared more than 57 years of love, laughter, and happiness.

Judith was a graduate of Elk County Christian High School, class of 1964, and was Catholic by faith. She enjoyed puzzle books and baking. She was a talented quilter who also enjoyed embroidering, always delighting in making beautiful items for her family. Together with her husband, Judy loved going for a nice, quiet country ride, taking in the scenery and wildlife. She also loved looking at Mountain Laurel and picnics at Parker Dam.

In addition to her husband of more than 57 years, William Chamberlin, she is survived by 5 children; Van (Tami) Chamberlin of Wilcox, Ron (Carol) Chamberlin of Kersey, Donna (Andy) Rettger of Yamhill, OR, Melissa (Michael) Himes of Brockport, and Glenda (Scott Mawn) Chamberlin of St. Marys; and by 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by six siblings; JoAnn (Mark) Dawson of TX, Nancie (David) Anderson of Johnsonburg, Dave (Carol) Sarginger of VA, Dorothy (Jim) Harkenrider of NY, Debbie (Jim) Assalone of Weedville, and Gloria Sarginger of St. Marys, as well as by numerous nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by a sister; Margaret Sarginger.

A Memorial Service for Judith E. Chamberlin will be held on Friday, January 6, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Krise Funeral Home, 339 Main Street, Kersey, PA 15846.
Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens.

Family and friends will be received at the Krise Funeral Home-Kersey on Friday, January 6, 2023 from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.

Memorial Contributions may be made to a local Boy Scout or Girl Scout Troop.
