Lois J. Duchi

Lois J. Duchi, 91, of Ridgway, died on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at Pinecrest Manor after a lengthy illness.

She was born on November 30, 1931, in Brookville, a daughter of the late Samuel and Sara Nichols.

In 1949, she married the late Sylvio “Sib” Duchi, who preceded in death in 1978.

Lois was a lifelong resident of Ridgway and a graduate of Ridgway Centennial School Class of 1949. She worked many years at Market Basket and only stopped working to take care of her sister, Evy. Lois worked at Walmart until she was 89, when she retired due to failing health.

She is survived by 3 children: Lynn Duchi of Ridgway, Mike Duchi and his wife Rose of Ridgway, and Jeff Duchi of Johnsonburg. Grandma Lois will be missed by her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a happy, loving, gentle soul who loved them so much. She was always ready with a warm hug. She will be loved and missed until the end of time. May she rest in peace and always be our special guardian angel.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Evy Copella, 2 brothers: Bud and Ron Nichols.

Funeral Services for Lois J. Duchi will be held on Friday, June 9, 2023, at 11:00AM at Krise Funeral Home, 130 Center Street, Ridgway, PA 15853.

Visitation will be held from 10:00AM until the time of service.

Burial will follow at Saint Matthews Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ridgway Ambulance.
