Mark R. Wachob

Mark R. Wachob, 83, of Wilcox, died on Monday, January 9, 2023, at Jefferson Manor Nursing Home after a lengthy illness.

He was born on July 13, 1939, Henderson Twp, a son of the late Mark and Elva Reed Wachob.

On October 20, 1962, he married Peggy Pifer who survives.

Mark was a member of Nazareth Lutheran Church in Wilcox and a graduate of Sykesville – Henderson High School. After graduating from high school, Mark joined the U.S Army serving from 1960 to 1963. He worked at Sylvania and retired after 37 years of service. He loved to hunt rabbits with his dog and was member of the Rolfe Beagle Club. Mark spent his free time hunting, fishing, and  woodworking.

In addition to his loving wife of 60 years, he is survived by 4 daughters; Janet Gay and her husband W.R of Richmond, VA, Monica Martin and her husband Sheldon of Stowe, PA, Dorrie Wachob and her boyfriend Dan Wonderling of Johnsonburg, and Courtney Fleming and her husband Scott of St. Marys, 8 grandchildren; Kirk, and Anthony Martin, Nathaniel and Mason Krise, Emma Gay, Reed and Ruby Fleming, and 2 great-grandchildren, Booker and Peyton Martin. He is also survived by 5 brothers; Dorsey (Katherine) Wachob of Punxsutawney, Melvin (Donna) Wachob of Reynoldsville, Earl (Linda) Wachob of Ridgway, Boyd Wachob of Reynoldsville and Paul Wachob of Reynoldsville, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Nora Beck.

A Memorial Service for Mark R. Wachob will be celebrated on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at 11:00AM at the Nazareth Lutheran Church, 252 Kane Street, Wilcox PA 15870.
