Nora E. Johnson

Nora E. Johnson, 78, of 3695 Montmorenci Road, Ridgway, died Tuesday, February 16, 2021, at her residence after a lengthy illness.

She was born December 4, 1942, in Ridgway, a daughter of the late Albert and Cecilla Smith Weis.

On August 20, 1960, in Ridgway, she married Bruce E. Johnson, who survives, of Ridgway.

Nora was a lifelong resident of Ridgway and a graduate of St. Leo’s School, class of 1960. Nora was a member of the Ridgway Eagles, VFW, and American Legion. Nora enjoyed playing bingo, bowling, volleyball, and going camping with her family. She loved to spend her time with her grandkids and great grandkids.

In addition to her husband of 60 years, Bruce Johnson, she is survived by 3 daughters; Pam Lindgren of Ridgway, Wanda Reinsburrow and her husband Rich of Mechanicsburg PA, Shelly Nelson and her husband Mark of Hollidaysburg PA, one son; Randy Johnson and his wife Amy of Ridgway, 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Judy Dahler, and one brother, James Weis.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a son at birth, Joseph R. Johnson, 2 sisters: Mary Donahue and Phyllis VanAlstine, one brother, Albert “Buzzy” Weis.

A Funeral Service for Nora E. Johnson will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at 1:00 PM at The Halton Church of Christ, 657 Evergreen Drive, Ridgway, PA 15853 with Rev. Ron Burkett officiating.

Family and friends will be received at Krise Funeral Home Friday, February 19,2021, from 2:00pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ridgway Ambulance Service.
