William "Bill" Cuthbert

William “Bill” Alton Cuthbert, age 90, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2020. He is predeceased by his parents Esther and Alton Cuthbert of Ridgway, his sister Rebecca Cuthbert Stewart of Wayne, PA, and brother Bruce John Cuthbert of Carlsbad, CA. He is survived by his nieces Jane Stewart Brooks, Tracey Cuthbert McNeil, nephews Bruce William Stewart and Craig Ridgway Cuthbert, grandnieces Sheri Lynn Brooks, Kaela Cuthbert McNeil, Lauren Stewart Moore, Lindsay Marie Stewart, grandnephews Douglas Andrew Brooks and Kevin Matthew Brooks, great-grandniece Sydney Marie Moore.

 

Bill graduated from Ridgway High School in 1949, attended both Orlando Junior College and North Carolina State University, and served in the U.S. Air Force 1950 – 1954. He was Rector of the Reformed Church of Metuchen, N.J. and a proud member of Hiram Masonic Lodge.

Bill Cuthbert was a warm and kind-hearted man dearly loved by his family and friends. He was known for being generous with his time and service. Bill will be missed.

 

Funeral and Committal services are being held privately at the Pine Grove Cemetery.

 

The family asks that flowers be sent to the nursing staff of Garden West at Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community, Quarryville, PA in appreciation of their caring and kind service.
